My family

I spent my childhood and youth in Winden am Aign (Germany). This beautiful place is located in the hop region of the Hallertau between Ingolstadt and Pfaffenhofen.

My mother still lives here today. I went to school in Langenbruck and Geisenfeld. After my training as a doctor's assistant I worked for several years in a radiological practice in Ingolstadt. Afterwards I completed my training as a medical-technical assistant for radiology at the Ingolstadt Hospital. Further professional stations were the University Hospital Munich-Großhadern, an MRI practice in Ingolstadt, the University Hospital Erlangen and until now finally the Cardiovascular Hospital Bad Neustadt, where I worked in my husband's radiology department until the end of 2016. Since then I have been working in Ingolstadt as a part-time employee in a radiology practice and as a typist for my former office in Bad Neustadt.

In February 2012, my father Martin ("Martl") passed away at the age of 86. His death hit me hard, especially since he was always there for everyone and he also helped me a lot. My father was sacrificially engaged for the public welfare of his home community. He was a member of the local council in Reichertshofen for 46 years, even longer a member of the political party SPD including its local chairman, founding member and 40 years chairman of the sports club DJK Winden, for decades active member of the shooting club, the warriors and veterans club and the voluntary fire brigade. Numerous honours such as the golden ring of honour of the municipality Reichertshofen and the badge of honour in gold of the DJK Federal Association and many others testify the high reputation of Martin Brunner in the public. Unfortunately, my aunts Käthe from Vohburg and Ida from Munich as well as uncle Alfons from Fuerth have passed away in the meantime, most recently in April 2020 Aunt Ida in her 93rd year.

My brother Wolfgang lives with his wife Christina and his son Christian in Ingolstadt. Christian has meanwhile completed his studies in physics and computer science at the Technical University of Munich.
