I spent my childhood and youth in Winden am Aign. This beautiful place is located in the Hallertau hop-growing region between Ingolstadt and Pfaffenhofen.
I went to school in Langenbruck and Geisenfeld. After my education as a medical assistant, I worked for several years in a radiological practice in Ingolstadt. After that, I completed an advanced training program at the Klinikum Ingolstadt to become a medical-technical assistant for radiology (MTRA). Other professional stations were the University Hospital Munich-Grosshadern, the MRI office Dr. Obletter in Ingolstadt, the University Hospital Erlangen and the Cardiovascular Hospital Bad Neustadt, where I worked in the radiology department of Rainer until the end of 2016. Since then, I have been working part-time as an assistant for radiology in Ingolstadt.
In February 2012, my father Martin passed away at the age of 86. His death affected me deeply, especially since he was always very supportive of me. My father was devoted to his hometown and its community. He was a member of the municipal council in Reichertshofen for 46 years, a member of the political party SPD for even longer, and was their local chairman. He was a founding member and chaired the sports club DJK Winden for 40 years, was an active member of the shooting club, the veterans' association and the volunteer fire brigade for decades. Numerous honors testify to my father's high esteemed reputation.
My mother Hella also passed away in October 2022 after a long heart condition. It was certainly difficult for her to spend the years after her husband's death alone. In the meantime, my Aunt Käthe from Vohburg and Uncle Alfons from Fürth have also gone. Most recently, Aunt Ida from Munich died at the age of 93. I always had a very close and loving relationship with her.
My brother Wolfgang lives in Ingolstadt with his wife Christina and their son Christian. Christian has taken up employment in Ingolstadt after graduating from the Technical University of Munich.
